Is this a silver mark

The pictured marks are from a recently purchased Vesta Case. Can anyone identify the marks

Hi Peter,

Yes, it's a Portuguese silver mark. It indicates that the item was assayed at Porto between 1887 and 1937. The purity is the second standard on 833/1000.

The other mark (on the left of your image) would be that of the maker, which is unknown to me, but hopefully another member will have the answer.
