Hi,

Just making some enquires for a friend. Can anyone supply any information on this piece?
















It has the sword mark with 835 as well as XXX and also a tiny maker's mark that appears to be S - three leaf clover - B , there may be another even smaller symbol after the S and before the 3 leaf clover. It's 63mm across base and approx 68mm in height, and weighs 88 grammes.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Trev,

Miniature Merry Go Round. The maker’s mark (last image rotated 90 degrees left) is L with three Andreas crosses for: C.& A. Lesener or Lesener Amsterdam NV/BV registered in Amsterdam & Berlicum ( Noord Brabant) during 1958-1988. Lesener was known for making miniatures.

Here is another one made by Lesener, the maker’s mark is upside down:

The sword mark numeral fineness 835 used 1953-present. The mark with the 3 leaf clover could be a retailer’s mark, most probably not Dutch.
