I found a box ribbon-label that tells us the full name of "A. Miele & Co.":

And doing a web search on the full name, "Orfèvrerie d'Art Miele & Co.," gets numerous hits. They appear to have had outlets in several cities, including Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Den Haag, in addition to Antwerp. I wonder where their factory was based?
I see one of these web hits is selling a set of knife banks as "Sterling Silver" that are stamped "100." Doesn't the "100" mean these are silver plate, like my spoon?
I'm also seeing several online auctions of Miele-labeled boxes containing WMF silverware. And in looking at pages of a 1909 Miele catalog for sale, the patterns illustrated are common WMF patterns. Was Miele only a distributor? The spoon I have stamped Miele is not a WMF pattern. Were they both a manufacturer and a retail outlet for other manufacturers?
