Portuguese teapot maker

Postby EmmaW » Tue Aug 20, 2013 3:46 am

I'd really appreciate some help with the third mark from the top. I've got that the kettle is from Oporto and of .916 standard (marks 1 and 4). The second mark is the Io.TITULo that I've gathered from the forums means first standard. So I take it that mark 3 is the makers mark. It is absolutely tiny so I'm afraid the photo is not brilliant. It's what appears to be an ICL with a triangle on top with two little stars on either side it. If this isn't clear enough I can draw a picture of it,

Thank you

Hola Emma, efectivamente si coincide la marca con la que le mande su tetera es de "Carlos Lopes de Sousa"

Un saludo

Hi Emma, actually if it matches the hallmark with which you send your teapot is "Carlos Lopes de Sousa"

A greeting
