American Coat of Arms help

Hi friends,

I have some silverplate flatware bearing the following crest. The visible letters are a C and an A. This is American flatware by International Silver Co. My instincts tell me this was a place of business because of the backstamp. If anyone has seen this before I would love some info.

With the open book, perhaps a prep school crest, like *** Collegiate (or Christian) Academy - looks like it might be another initial at the top, maybe in a ship's wheel?
