Small Jug

I found a small jug, which bears the words
IV Concurso International Musica Cidade do Porto 1987
Membro de juri Luigi Mostacci
Evidently it was a souvenir given to the judges of the competition. I expected to find a Portuguese hallmark, and indeed the hallmark seems a mix of hallmarks of the city of Porto (the eagle mirrored and placed over the 835) But I did not find this exact hallmark in any text. Someone can give me information.

The top mark is for large articles of 835 standard assayed at Porto after the 1st Janurary 1985.



Hopefully another member can identify the maker.

Hi Amena,

A friend has sent me information regarding the maker of your jug.

The maker was Floréncio José da Costa, Successors. They ceased manufacturing in 1991, after 88 years.

They were founded by Floréncio José da Costa in 1903; succeeded by his sons in 1962 and in 1968 by Floréncio José da Costa, Successors.
