James Deakin and Sons silver jug - need help identifying

Hi, I recently bought a silver jug with the marks JD &S, EP, M3999 and LB on the bottom of it, and a little lamp symbol. Ive found out that the JD stands for James Deakin, and the EP for electroplate, but would like some help identifying the era of the jug, and what its actually used for.

The item is jug shaped with a lid that covers the whole top, and it has a wicker or faux bamboo handle which is wrapped around the silver handle. Its approx 16.5 cm (6.5") tall, with a base of 12cm (4.25") wide.

Looks more like something that would have been made by James Dixon and Sons and is designed after the Arts and Crafts era...in the Arts and Crafts style. Would have been either a coffee pot or hot water jug...the middle classes would have had plated wares such as this with both a coffee pot and hot water jug(or hot milk if they so wished) So basically it is likely to have been made between 1890 and 1940. No longer have my reference book on silver plated wares and comments are from memory, so please don't take my word as gospel! seek the makers mark in its entirety, perhaps at your local library. Thanks for your help! I did a bit more looking and the lettering does match some of the james dixon pieces Ive seen, but that leaves me confused about the little symbol which I thought was a lamp. If it is lamp then it would mean its james deakin? If anyone knows anything else or can confirm this, thatd be great!

Looks like the mark of James Deakin & Sons - the lamp is the giveaway.
