Mystery Hallmarks Serving Spoon

Postby danielito » Thu Jun 20, 2013 4:30 am

Hello
I was wondering if anyone recognises these hallmarks on a serving spoon I bought recently. The spoon is approx. 22.6cm long.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Danielito,

I hope I do not disappoint you, but your spoon is plated.

The manufacturer was Thomas Prime & Sons of Birmingham.

The spoon cannot be dated precisely, but if you can read the letters contained in the bottom most mark (Rd), then the information contained there will give you the earliest possible date.
