TANQUERAY, David (Grimwade p.676-7)

Postby MCB » Wed May 29, 2013 4:30 am

He paid Duty as a goldsmith in 1718 for the apprentice indentures of Nicholas Nean and in 1723 for Peter Bicket or Bucket.
In addition to the two sons David and Thomas mentioned by Grimwade a christening of Mary Ann, a daughter of David Tanqueray, was registered in Westminster in 1723.
Contrary to the presumption of Tanqueray’s death around 1730 by reason of the entry of his wife’s name in the marks register at Goldsmiths’ Hall a website family tree records his burial as 1743 at Tingrith in Bedfordshire. It has not been possible to locate the burial record.
