French candelabra

Postby monte100 » Mon Apr 29, 2013 8:30 am

Hi,

Let's see if I am getting anywhere with this. My candelabra has two marks on the bottom. The first is the French makers mark in a lozenge which I understand means it is solid silver?
I think this maker is Paul Boulongne 1899 as the mark appears to have the four leaf clover on it. I am probably wrong but I hope you will tell me.

The second mark is a 30 in a square and that has stumped me because if the lozenge method is correct ............?

Thanks in advance,

Can you please post a larger image of the lozenge?
Is there the word "PLAQUE' "?
In that case bad news.

Hi Amena,

I think the word is 'Recue' it is certainly not plaque.

This is an enhanced image of the lozenge:
