Small Silver Trinket Box Chinese or Japanese

Postby abcushon » Tue Apr 09, 2013 11:41 pm

I have in my collection a silver trinket box with a lift off lid. It has marks on the bottom, but my searches reveal no clues as to their exact origin. They even may be upside down! I would appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks, Allan

A pretty traditional Chinese silver box, the mark is 廣昌華. Without a city mark, it's hard to tell which city it was made in.

Thank you for your information. On the knowledge that the box is Chinese does the mark give any clue as to the age? I assume later 20th century. Am I correct? Regardless, I do appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Allan
