Sterling Hallmark? RIGHT Facing Lion Passant on Victorian Ba

Hello and I hope I've come to the right place for help with this Mystery Hallmark on a gorgeous Victorian beaded Purse. Or IS it a Chatelaine? I have researched the web for ID on this RIGHT FACING Lion, and all answers point to Gorham, but I'm sure this is NOT Gorham. And I've heard there are Chinese Fake Hallmarks? But this purse is Genuinely Victorian, I believe, so am Very Confused! The other Hallmarks are so hard to read, so I'll do my best to post clear pics. Thank you for ANY hints! I do believe it IS Sterling, regardless. At least I hope so! Can't wait to hear your Expert Opinions! Happy Easter!

Well, I found out it is a DUTCH hallmark! :-) Still would like to hear from someone here....

Hi Treasurehappy, welcome to the forum, please read the forum rules regarding E-Bay and please do not misuse the forum for personal gains, however we are looking at a simple Dutch silver purse frame and below sterling standard and with some fake marks, the purse itself is a later addition. From left to right top clockwise; lion passant facing right above 2, standard mark silver fineness 83.3% pure silver (Sterling is 92.5% pure silver), maker’s mark N.2 for: Johannes Jacobus Neurdenburg, registered during 1894-1923 , in the cities of Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Rotterdam & The Hague, followed by a pseudo mark/unknown/sponsor mark. 2nd image; date letter M for 1896 (see date letter chard) and standard mark with export key. 3rd image H: pseudo/fake maker’s mark or date letter. Last image; maker’s mark N.2 for Johannes Jacobus Neurdenburg .

Might just be my perception, but the date mark seems to more closely resemble the 1906 'W' (upside-down)...

No perception, you are absolutely right the W for 1906! I may say I have a difficulty with the Gothic’s.
