KERSILL, Ann (Grimwade p.569)

Post by MCB »

In 1748-49 she was assessed to Land Tax on the property in Foster Lane previously assessed on her deceased husband Richard Kersill (Grimwade p.569-70). From 1750 the property was occupied by Walter Brind (Grimwade p.449, 738). Her neighbours in 1749 had been William Kidney (Grimwade p.570) and Edmund Medlycott (Grimwade p.594).
There is no evidence of Richard or Ann in the Land Tax assessment books to support Heal’s suggestion of a Kersill presence in Foster Lane until 1763.
