Can some1 plz help identify

I've got a cane with silver parts to it the maker is J.W in a diamond with anchor then the lion an date mark is the Capital Y with bAll on tail 1822. Not the spoon tAil 1923. Plz help it doing my head in..

Thanks heaps trev, still unsure exactly when it's from thou ie: 1822 or 1923

Henry Howell & Co. were very fine cane makers, and also very prolific. Examples of their products do appear fairly regularly.
