Help with Brooch

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can enlighten me as to the date and possible maker of this brooch. I think its from Moscow but thats all I know. Thanks in advance.

It has what looks to me like a star and sickle and 875 along with what looks like D8.

Sorry, that is KD 8 and a star with a sickle. BTW...why cant I edit this post?

Your photo of the marks is too small and out of focus. Try to take a better photo using a tripod and the camera's macro facility. It symbol is usually a flower/tulip. Anyway, If you have a star and a sickle, it is a Soviet made object as from 1958-1991 You should have a capital letter left of the star. What letter, an M would be for Moscow? But you said KD8? D is not a Cyrillic letter, are you sure?

Seems to be a Cyrillic "P" that would be Riga in Latvia. I don't know the maker.

If maker mark is KD 8. Maker isKlaipeda art factory "Daile"
Riga's assay office, 1958 or 1968.

Yes it is KD 8. I think I need a better camera for these kind of photos. Thanks for the info. :-)
