Hello,
I did a search on here for Toye of Toye, Kenning and Spencer but there seemed to be nothing at all. The spoon is 16g and has TOYE SILVER stamped in the bowl and has TOY & CO LONDON on the reverse of the finial. The front of the finial has two crisscrossing darts. I believe it to be a promotional item but can anyone confirm this is silver plate or solid silver? It sounds like silver when you drop the spoon but maybe it is just wishful thinking! I am savvy enough to be aware of the hallmarking system but I still have suspects that this is a piece of unmarked silver. The surface is very gouged but this gives a view of the internal metal and it looks the same as the exterior. Any idea of the approximate date of manufacture or any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking and please pardon me if I have posted in the wrong section.
Greg.
