Need help Identifying French Silversmith Mark

Postby lavenderhoney » Mon Feb 25, 2013 4:04 pm

Hello,
I would greatly appreciate some help in identifying this French silversmith mark. I can't seem to make out the symbol in the center, but it appears as though the silversmith's initials are L.G? Thank you!

It would help if you could let us know what kind of object this mark is found on and what the other marks are.

The maker's mark is on a napkin ring, alongside the Minerva 1er Titre hallmark used from 1838, so .950 silver

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
