Offering bowl - tibetan?

This is an offering bowl, marked but unknown to me. I'll start by guessing its Chinese/Tibetan, but maybe made somewhere else? Can anyone help? Thanks!

The bowl looks to be of recent manufacture. Most of the contemporary Tibetan silver I have seen is stamped 925, sometimes with a mark that looks like a stylized fireball, but (to my knowledge) not incorporating letters from the alphabet. This "M" in hash mark logo does not look Tibetan or Chinese to me.

What is the non-silver body of the bowl made of? It looks like the calabash gourd used in South American mate cups. Of course, gourds are common enough around the world. The construction of the bowl looks to me more like Central or South America--see, for instance:

The second mark is too indistinct to make out, could you please post a clearer photo?

Just a thought, but perhaps if the post is moved to the Central / South American forum, someone else will provide a better answer.
