Swiss Watch? Help Please

Postby jase770 » Thu Jan 24, 2013 12:22 am

Hi there.

Just wondering if the experts can enlighten me as to the origin, age and possibly maker of this watch I just acquired. There is a C on one side of the .800 mark and an F on the other. From what I have been able to discover it is Swiss and dates between around 1880 and 1933. Hopefully someone can narrow it down a little further.

Thanks in advance for the help.

It's really Swiss made. Wood grouse is the official Swiss mark for 800 silver until 1995.

To correctly identify the manufacturer, you have to look at the stamps clock mechanism. I think that following sites will help you:

Best regards.

TYVM......cant find any marks on the internal clockwork. Think I may have to try a specialist pocket watch site. ;-)
