anybody knows?..

Postby sanna_w » Thu Sep 20, 2012 4:19 am

hi and good afternoon!
i'm searching for help with information about these stamps on my bracelet... all i know is that swedish stamp with the 3 crowns means that this silver bracelet came in Sweden from other country and certifies the authenticity of the metal, cause these 3 crowns are in the "oval" (for swedish jewelry they use almost the same stamp but the crowns are not located within the oval, but look like "cat paw"). and of course "s" means "silver", and other stamp with 830 means the proportion of silver. but there is a stamp o don't know what does it mean... and i'd like to know the country-motherland of this bracelet...
thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Your marks are a little difficult to make out, but appear to be Italian. Does the lower right hand mark read 39 GE?

Shown thus: Image

If so, then the maker was Giovanni Rota of Genova.

For details of Italian marking, go to: http://www.925-1000.com/Fitalian_marks_01.html

To identify more Italian makers by their registration number, go to: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=27003

Trev.
