Thai Bowl

Postby JansParadise » Thu Aug 09, 2012 5:23 pm

I am wondering about the age of my silver Thai bowl, which seems to have a small Chinese character Ji (Lucky or Auspicious) stamped on the bottom. It is a lovely 8 lobed small bowl, with a classic temple guardian on each lobe. It's 12cm wide and about 5 cm tall. I can't seem to add an image here, unfortunately. It was given as a gift to a diplomat in Bankok in the 1920's, who then passed it on to his friend in his will, and I bought it in a junk shop from the wife of that person a few years ago.
Thank you
Jan

http://www.tinypic.com is recommended. Embedded images get a far greater response than just posting links.
