He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1759 as a case maker from Great White Lion Street near Seven Dials and later notified a change of address to Bull Yard near Goswell Street Bars.
As a widower he married Elizabeth Carey at St Sepulchre, Holborn in 1780; both were from that parish.
He entered another maker’s mark in 1785 as a watch case maker from 27 New Street, Cloth Fair.
The burial of a Samuel Armand who “died of age” was recorded in 1794 at St Luke, Finsbury; his last address was The French Hospital, London. Elizabeth Armand aged 54 years, late of Red Lion Street, also died in 1794; her burial was recorded at St Sepulchre, Holborn.
