A technical question from a technophobe

Hi guys
I'm not clued up on this but why are my private messages stuck in the out box and not showing up as sent - I've tried everything I can see to get them on their way including resending and all that happens is they come back to me in my in box. And I don't want to seem rude in not replying to mail.

I had the same worry a while ago but the messages did get sent. I think I concluded that they stayed showing in the out box until opened by the addressee, but as I too am a technophobe I may have got this wrong.
