Another spoon - Mark looks like AKOM - photo

Post by 0ldmare »

Sorry I'm asking another as I cannot find any reference anywhere. Tried searching for AKOM, ABOM no luck but the spoon looks quality...

The not so easy to see end hallmark looks a little like a pineapple perhaps!

Any ideas would be wonderful!

I've never come across that maker's mark before, but the style of the marks looks a bit Chinese Export.

Thanks so much for your help. I see what you mean by looking a bit like the chinese export marks. I was (easily) fooled by thinking as the first mark looked like a lion so it must be a british piece. Nothing so simple. Oh well at least I dont feel so bad not having found the answer myself :-)

I should say I'm not certain about the Chinese Export attribution. It's just a possibility.
