He married Lucy Lambeth at St Saviour, Southwark in 1816; both were from that parish.
Christening records at various churches 1817-22 record George as a clerk.
He entered his only maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1824 as a plateworker from 50 St Martin’s Lane which was the address last recorded for his wife Lucy when buried at St Martin in the Fields in 1834.
He was at Fort Crescent, Margate for the 1841 UK Census where he was recorded of independent means and living with his daughters.
His burial aged 55 years is recorded in 1842 at St Martin. His last address was Bayham Terrace, Camden.
