ID mark on earrings - J N with 3 dots

Postby kellyb » Thu Jan 26, 2012 8:00 pm

Hello! Does anyone know what mark this is? Both earrings are marked "sterling" and have a "J," an "N," and 3 dots in a triangle shape. Because of the design on the front, I thought it could be Mexican, too. A few Taxco items were in the collection with these, so I tried researching that first, to no avail. My guess is that it's not older than the 1950s.
Thank you!

They aren't Mexican, they look to possibly be Hopi.
