Goldworkers List (Section VII).

Born around 1746.
Married Elizabeth Price at St Bride, Fleet Street on 30th April 1770.
Christening records 1773-86 for children of Stephen and Elizabeth at St Bride, Fleet Street.
Duty paid 1777 for Apprentice Indentures of George Hudson as a Weaver Citizen of London.
Trade Directory entries 1779-80 as a jeweller at 135 Fetter Lane and 1782-91 as a jeweller at 3 Pemberton Row.
Entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1792 as a goldworker from Newcastle Street, Strand,
Died 1819.
Burial record for St Mary, Lambeth dated 18th June 1819. Aged 73 years; last address South Lambeth.

6 November 1759 Stephen son of Robert Twycross of Waterperry in the County of Oxford Clerk apprenticed to Thomas Millington London Weaver.

8 January 1820 Stephen Twycross of Waltham in the County of Herts Gentleman will proved at London. Mention of a Jewellery concern at Newcastle Street in the Strand under the firm name of Twycross and Davis accounted for large bequests in this will. Reference: TNA PROB 11/1624/101
