Rose Brooch with Hallmarks only, no name

Postby Lobby » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:13 pm

Hi Folks,

First post here. I searched through all the pictures, but couldn't find anything similar to the hallmarks on this brooch. Perhaps you have an idea?

Welcome to the forum.

The mark on the right looks like a Mexican Eagle mark to me.

Thank you, Pat.

I don't have the piece with me, so I'll check tonight when I get home.

I'm in San Antonio, so the piece being Mexican makes sense.

Oh, sorry about the pic size. I'll reduce them before I link any again.

Yup, Mexican. The other mark is AE inside a heart shaped M, a common mark but I've never seen it ID'd. The design was done by many artisans.
