Women's silver. Women silversmiths of the Bauhaus period

The exhibition is dedicated to the work of female silversmiths from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland, ca. 1918 - 1940. The artist are: Eilfriede Berbalk (Austria); Christa Ehrlich (Austria and Netherlands), Marga Jess, Elisabeth Treskow, Paula Straus, Emmy Roth, Helene Brandt-Lock, Hilde Vollers, Erna Zarges-Dürr, Eva Mascher-Elsaesser, Hilde Risch, Gemma Wolters-Thiersch (all from Germany); Erika Spitzbarth-Petersen (Germany and Switzerland), Martha Flueler-Haefeli and Marcelina Preiswerk-Gams (Switzerland). The museum presents selected works in silver and gold by said artists like jewellery, tableware and flatware, many of these never before exhibited. There is a catalogue (in German) with 224 pages and some 280 illustrations. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
