No William Linker Trademark

This is just my take on the William Linker trademark. The Annual report of the Commissioner of Patents, Volume 1848 lists William Linker in the index of patents issued from the alphabetical list of trademarks with serial number 55,945 and date 21 August 1906. I believe this number and date actually relates to a filing that did not result in a patent being issued.

I am wrong about this. William Linker did have Davis & Galt's trademark assigned to himself, but if I'm reading things correctly did so under the firm name Davis & Galt.
