Help please American Sterling Ring Makers Hallmark

Postby angus4449 » Wed Apr 20, 2011 2:53 pm

Hi everyone

I have searched .925 extensivley and also most of the Forums plus other Library and other resources to try and find this Sterling makers mark, which I think may be American.

The link to the one semi decent photograph I have managed after dozens of attempts, is I hope is fairly readable.

http://www.keepandshare.com/photo/edit. ... 3&i=645047

Details: - a "Lyre Symbol" in the centre with 2 triangles left and right of the "Lyre". The left hand triangle appears to have the letter "O" and the right hand the letter "C".

This one search has aged me at least 10-years, please help me get at least 9-years back.

Any help to identify this maker would be greatly appreciated.

Regards and best to all

Dognose, thanks, I promise I have been all over the site to find how to attach images rather than a link. Can you advise please. Many Thanks Neil

Dognose and everyone, my apologies, I have been back into keep and share and made the photo public, again my apologies but I can only lay the blame at this hallmark for ageing me so much. I feel so old...........

My thanks to dognose and 2209 Patrick on how to include a photo so here goes:

Reminder Details: - A Ring marked STERLING and below this a "Lyre Symbol" in the centre with 2 triangles left and right of the "Lyre". The left hand triangle appears to have the letter "O" and the right hand the letter "C".

Fingers crossed this works or I may have to head to the Forth Road Bridge with a sandbag round my neck.

Appreciate your help and patience.

Regards Neil

As usual .925 has come up trumps.

My thanks to all of you, for your patience and help.

Valkyrie Vixon what a star, thank you for recovering at least 9-years of my life.

Simply brilliant

Regards to all

Neil
