I purchased this pocketwatch at a yard sale. I'm fairly novice at collecting antiques, but I could tell that it's old, and it's silver. I've been able to get quite a lot of info about it from web sites, but have run into a couple of problems.
The face is: W. Waterhouse Halifax
I don't know if it actually works, as it is a key winder, and the key was not with it.
The knob on the top, front side is: Birmingham lion, and what appears to be an upper case M in a square, with the corners cut off.
The knob on top, rear side has the makers initials C.H (Charles Humphries, Birmingham)
Inside the rear. Top, is the Birmingham Lion, below left is the anchor symbol in a shield. To the right is an upper case M, inside a shield. Below this is W.E inside an oval.
If the maker is Charles Humphries, what is the 'W.E', on the back? I would like to get a better idea of when and where this watch was manufactured. Thanks!
