Postby frenchie_myriam » Sat Jan 07, 2006 5:32 pm

This inwell is another problem for me. I believe it could be british plated silver. I need some confirmation.

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Myriam

Your inkwell sure screams "English plate" to my eyes, from the font of the maker's name to the perpendicular "EP".

Dear Waylander,

many thanks for your reply. It is also what I thought regarding a British origin. Is there any possibility to find who the maker is.

Thanking you again
Best Regards
Myriam

Hello,

For those who are interested could find that the maker is Georges Shadford Lee & Henry Wigfull Sheffield 1879 - 1898.

Best Regards
myriam
