Might be the same man as the John Moore whose first mark was entered as a largerworker in 1758 but more likely to be the apprentice mentioned in the Old Bailey Trial of 15 July 1778 .
Thomas Moore III states " I am a silver-buckle-maker; on the 5th of June I sent my apprentice with the things mentioned in the indictment.. " The apprentice , named as John Moore states "I am the prosecutor's brother's son; I am going of sixteen."
This indicates that was born around 1762 and he was not Thomas Moore's son, but his nephew .
He could be the son of the William Moore given in PR1773 as Bucklemaker at St Annes Lane
