To the best of my knowledge, C&N is one of the mystery marks in the realm of "coin" silver. They produced an awful lot of flatware to have so little known about them, but because there is or was so much of it around maybe someday someone will be able to identify the source. Probably like most people that collect or accumulate silver especially in the U S, I have some of it myself.
