30 Oct 1776 Leathersellers Company records George Butler apprenticed to William Sharp, (at Bridge Water Square), Silver Buckle Maker . Bridgwater Square is just north of Barbican.

10 Jan 1786 Leathersellers Company records William Simes apprenticed to George Butler (High Holborn) Buckle Maker.

George has the distinction of having five separate changes of address in four years !
