Things That Go Bump in the Night!

Postby dognose » Sun Jan 30, 2011 1:20 pm

'Friday night about 12 o'clock the house of Mr Gayner, a working silversmith, next door to the Grafton Head Inn, at the bottom of Hay Hill, Piccadilly, fell down, and tho' 12 or 13 persons were in bed at the same time, and fell with it into the yard, none of them received any great hurt. Mr Gayner, his wife, and others, were bury'd under the ruins for some time before they could be got out.'
