Unidentified marks - W.R.S and AA

I have been told the EP on this spoon refers to Electro Plate but I can not find any details on the meanings of the other marks and if the date (1839) is the year of manufacture.

Any details provided are greatly appreciated. I have a full set of forks, dessert spoons, soup spoons and serving spoons which are currently in everyday use but I may need to retire them to the silver cabinet.

I believe W.R.S. could be the London maker W.R.Smiley based in London.
my guess regarding the numbers is that it could be a pattern number.
