Help Please Marks to Georgian Silver M.B

Postby johnc » Wed Jan 05, 2011 7:49 am

Can anyone help please. Unidentified marks on a crescent shape silver decanter label M.B in a very distictive cartouche . Front of label reads - MOUNTAIN and appears to be 18th century

It looks to me like the mark of the fairly well known London maker of decanter labels, Margaret Binley.

Hi,

The mark looks good to me for Margaret Binley (Grimwade 1998).
