Glass & silver plate dishes purpose unsure ID please?

Hello.

I am hopeing that someone may be able to assist with my enquiry please?

The items I have here are small pyrex glass dishes in a EPNS silver holder. I guess as it is pyrex it is to withstand heat. I would also guess it is some sort of dinner/tea ware. My wife & I guessed that it may be to serve poached eggs? But, that is only a guess. Size diameter of the dishes is 80mm & 35mm deep. Does anyone know acuratley what they really are please? Your pieces are Australian, made by Stokes Ltd, a business founded in 1856 in Melbourne by Thomas Stokes a die sinker from Birmingham. They are still in business today but no longer manufacture plated wares.

Not sure what the intended use was for these items.
