Unlettered Sterling Fly Earrings--Mark help?

We've run across this pair of earrings--they are marked 925 and a circle split into pie pieces on the clips. Behind the clips, they are marked with a face--eyebrows, eyes, and a question mark-like nose. Any ideas what these marks may represent? Thanks in advance for any help.

The mark on the clip is a manufacturer's mark, for the clip only. I've seen the name before but don't remember it, it has nothing to do with the earrings themselves.
The mark on the earrings almost looks Middle Eastern.
