French Butterfly Wing?

Hi,
I believe this butterfly brooch is French, and am interpreting Argent to mean sterling. I've taken at least 30 photos, and these are the best I've been able to capture. Possibly not decipherable even to an educated eye; I've viewed them with a loupe & tried to compare with marks on the site, without success. Any comments are appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum.

The diamond shape mark will be the maker's mark. If you cannot capture a larger image, try drawing what you see contained within the mark and photo or scan the drawing.
