It is a toast rack, used to hold slices of toast, i.e. bread that has been heated and browned in front of a fire or in an electric toast maker. Toast is served at an English breakfast and also sometimes at tea time.

Hi!

Thank you! I thought so. But this article is very small... length — 11см, width— 5,5 см, height — 6/7см. May be, it is the stand for napkins?

Sometimes toast is cut quite small - one slice of bread divided into four quarters. I would still think of this as a toast rack for occasions when refined or delicate pieces like that are being served.

Cup in millimetres — or measuring given later?

Hello Mrs. Elena

Your questions come over in a form, as like to be an »order« - short! and not precise. Then after you request for some more details; and after that you request for explanations of details from details.

It is always a good sign of cooperation, if the dimensions and other details were already given in the first part of question. Otherwise it seems neglect.

Well, the dimensions of ashtrays could be most times estimated from a picture.

Some times you give already in advance some measuring; e.g. look here: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=21237

There was for to could answer a dimensions problem; so I haven’t answered:

»It’s a cup of “Gulliver by the Dwarves”« or »It’s a mini cup for playing children’s« or »It’s a cup«?

Now you give the dimensions in a later stadiumbut knowing from begin on, that it seems to be a not so common little one.

In »925-1000« is by time and while already collected a huge amount of knowledge, marks, explanations. Some users use it in advance, and they learn from this a lot! Their questions then after are often already »on the spot« - e.g. for confirmation. They let stay the explaining pictures visible for years. And some times also they contribute to »925-1000« by their risen knowledge too.

Kind regards silverport

»I will compulsorily consider your wishes …« - it’s not necessary, because I »Stop«.

Hello again Mrs. Elena & all the other readers

My message is my messageand in principle not the message of »925-1000« »admin«, »co-admin’s« and »contributor’s«!

Now I need first some attention and comprehension of you, for to could explain some of my attempts:

My request, to be concentrated, isn’t there fore that you and others get the impression of to be »under “compulsion”« of me.

For explanation, that “compulsion” is not my attempt, or request, please let me now »imprint« in yours and others brain a curious example as »mnemonic aid«:

A human enters, screaming of pain, hospitals urgency; he shouts: »I’m foot sore and weary! For reason of my ingrown toenails I couldn’t arrive quicker«.

They assist him on his feet’s immediately — but him remaining screaming of pain! Why that? He shouts now: »My neck is broken! I swallow blood too«!

Under time-consuming assistance of »admin« and »co-admin’s«, all »contributor’s« of »925-1000« donate Million of hours of their PRIVATE time, to research for, and answer on questions placed in »925-1000« as quick as ever possible!

I don’t know the globes totality; also not that of global »Silver Forum’«, where you could get an answer on questions for silver and gold in such an immediate time, and sounded as good as it could be, without any “bill”.

Well, I’ve made a mistake between the Swedish “origin” mark and the Swedish “import” mark — by lack of my knowledge. »dragonflywink« Cheryl has healed this immediately. Risk of »trial and error« in »925-1000« is here with minimized as possible. Remember that: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21277

The famous British writer Samuel Barclay Beckett has once advised: »Try again, fail again, and fail better«!

So, if somebody enter the »925-1000« first aid assistance, and writes as »questions header« on “different" items always the same, assisted by “copy and paste”: »Who is a silversmith?« - then I was lead into temptation, also assisted by “copy and paste”, to answer these three questions with: »A man who forges Silver«.

That is the exact answer on yours question!

But also yours “copy and paste” sickness isn’t helpful for other humans in the jungle: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=21293

I’ve got in between the very strong impression, that you aren’t concentrated enough in yours job!

And now you were very happy to get from »925-1000« often in a very short time sounded answers; then after never followed by any “bill”. All of that was before maybe hoped by you? But never expected?

With yours willingness in cooperation, now it’s a real possibility!

You’ve by time and while in future maybe thousand or more items and questions?

We aren’t afraid on this! »925-1000« is already full prepared for many questions, out of several areas of collectibles!

Today actually there are 39777 posts registered! Maybe some percent of these are well studied; but couldn’t be answered for which reason whoever; e.g. lack of knowledge of “exotic” languages, cultural background, marks, and markets?

In »925-1000« all »contributors« are humans — not “hungry” wolfs, which wait on yours “beautiful” items.

In about five years, »925-1000« is grown out to a now respectful sounded forum; with often immediately answers — some times cost saving as well! Please read this topic: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=21175

And I personally gave you already some days ago also a cost saving answer. Read in yours topic: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21276&p=49453&hilit=Bremen#p49453 an advise to be attend between these nearly similar two »key mark’s«: »B(key)L« = Brinckmann & Lange, Applied art workshop (items in Silver), Bremen; and »B(key)E« = Berndorfer(Plated items), Esslingen am Neckar. A bad struck mark could be “heaven” or “hell” for a novice; but also for such persons who work with agents, witch hasn’t enough basic knowledge. But »B(key)E« has made also very impressive items! Please look here: viewtopic.php?p=42809#42809

Is my disposition of help, that others spare costs, that what you hate as my kind of “compulsion”?

»925-1000« answers and advises of attention, spare you Millions of roubles! Is that what you hate: Be spared for reason of yours lack of fundamental knowledge, in relation to the broad range of countries of items origin (Peru until …)?

In every questions first part could in general already be included a »Thank you in advance« - and later on a »Thank you« as well. That's practiced humanity!

Please read also »Hose-dk« commentary on me: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=21234

But to prevent you personally from my “compulsion”: In future I’m in general free, not to must answer to you in any form.

Well, others would answer further more; but I’m well afraid, that they are maybe already unhappy with yours denigrations?

That’s not a question of missing knowledge of another foreign language — my English education was 15 hours lessons only, 60 years ago; I’m now busy with my sixth language.

By the way, where you my assistant, you wouldn’t finish the proof; yes of course, that’s it. All of this is my » compulsion« - crazy.

My last advice to you is a plagiarism, you already know: »Try again, fail again, and fail better«!

Kind regards silverport

Hello Elena,

The previous replies in answer to your question have not told you a fundamental piece of information, that your piece bears a Birmingham sterling silver hallmark for 1925.

Regards,

Paul.
