Help with Dutch hallmarks? Faux?

Postby jackk » Sun Mar 14, 2010 8:10 pm

I need some help with these hallmarks. I suspect they may be dutch faux marks, but am not sure. Not me field of expertise.

Thank you,
Jack

Hello.

Not sure if it's the same, but the double circle mark reminds me of a J.D. Schleissner pseudo mark.

Check out the second mark down on the left under J.D. Schleissner:

I do not thinkt, that this is the same mark.
We habe a "star" or a "flower" - a Letter ( I or D) the makers-marks and a double circle mark.

Apparently, these are late XIX century Dutch pseudo marks. Items made by Schijfsma Sneek. Mostly for export. Real silver content 835.
