Great Grandmother's Cameo Ring - Please help me identify it!

My great-grandmother inherited this ring from her sister who passed away in 1950. I know my ggm was born in 1902, I don't know if her sister was older or younger. I don't know where this ring was purchased or anything about it other than what I have found online.

I believe it is red coral. It has an ivory figure on the front that looks like a woman holding something. I can't tell if it is an umbrella, an urn, a vase, or something else.

The hallmark appears to read SRS10 , it is hard to read w/ my magnifying glass and even harder to get a good picture of.

If anyone can identify this ring and tell me about it I would appreciate it. I have spent a lot of time online and can't find another ring that looks like it. Any help would be appreciated and would help a lot.

Your ring appears to be 10Kt. white gold with a hardstone cameo (carved from a banded agate). The white upper portion carved for detail with the carnelian base for the background. The subject is supposed to be Ceres carrying a sheaf of wheat. It would have been made between 1905 and 1918 and your grandmother may have recieved it as the origional owner though it would have been considered a more "mature woman's" piece of jewelry. As for the maker's mark I can find no record of it in my references, but will try to look further.

A good brush-up with soapy water and a soft brush will restore the colours to the stone. rinse it well in water and dry.

JLDoggett: Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

I thought it was silver b/c I have a 14k white gold ring that doesn't look as good as this (this cameo is much more brilliant in person, in these pictures the cameo ring looks darker than it really is). Perhaps the SRS10 refers to 10k white gold though, that seems plausible as well. I thought that white gold was plated and would deteriorate over time more than this ring appears to have.

I relayed this information to my grandmother and I learned a little more about the ring that may help w/ identifying the hallmark. She said she doesn't know if her sister was the original owner or where she got it, but her sister did tell her that only 100 were made and most were in Europe. I posted this in the American section b/c it is in the USA and to my knowledge was obtained here.
