American Sterling Mark - Bird in Wreath

Postby noel fowles » Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:36 pm

This is a mark I can't find. I assume it is circa 1880-1900 American, as the design of the bowl is art nouveau. It has the retailers name, I think, of S E. Caldwell & Co. Phila (philadelphia), and 735.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

That is actually an "M" on top of the bird.
Check out the Meriden Britannia Company here:

Wow, 6 minutes to get an answer!! Thanks Pat, that is great. I went through the entire site, but missed the 2 other M pages. Regards, Noel
