Hi,
Year is 1972/73. Finding info on latter 20th century makers is often difficult, suggest you try the Birmingham assay office.

Please let us know if you make an identification.
Regards, Tom

Thank you for the tip. I have sent an email to the assay office and will let you know what I learn. This forum is a great service.

I received an email from the Assay office that told me that the hallmark indicates that the article is Sterling silver, assayed and marked at Birmingham in 1972. The maker's mark is that of Hyghpoint Import and Export Ltd of 22 Stuart Crescent, London.

i cannot find out anything about Hyghpoint, so if someone knows something of interest, I would be happy to hear about it.
