Mysterious Spoon

Postby Granmaa » Thu Aug 27, 2009 12:51 pm

Another spoon with no obvious purpose. A very shallow bowl and a screw-offable ivory handle which one would think could be to prevent heat traveling to ones fingers. It was made in Sheffield in 1893 and is 13.5cm long.

Hi Miles.

My guess would be an ice-cream or aspic server.

I like the idea of an aspic server!
