Hello everyone...
I am new here and I hope I am posting in the correct forum; I have spent days trying to find out the maker of my picture frames.
I came across what appears to be 2 very old picture frames. They weigh
approximately 3 lbs. Both holds pictures 4.75 x 6.5. although the size
of the frame is a couple inches longer and wider. One has leaves around
the top of the frame and the other has a raised unique design.
The square one has a marking on the lower left back corner of 10/11; the
oval has a marking 10 17. Both date marking are hand engraved not
stamped. I did find SS on both frames along with what appears to be GP on the oval frame by taking a picture and
zooming in, there were other marks but I couldn't make them out.
If anyone has any clue where these may have came from I
would really appreciate any help you may have to offer. My mother gave
these to me decades ago and they had been handed down to her. She passed away last year and for some reason these frames have consumed me with trying to find out any information I can obtain. I am attaching my url that I just created, please excuse the duplicates of the photos, I have been trying to enhance them to find more markings.
