Please help me identify this platter

Please help me identify this platter. It is one of the few possesions of my dear uncle that we have left. He was Canadian but the plate may be English

The marks look decidedly Canadian.

Left to right; Canada, Sterling, and 1947. According to Tardy, since 1898, Canada follows the London date letter code. The number's below are a pattern, serial or order number. The important bit that is lacking is a maker's mark.
